My Screenbeam wireless display receiver does not maintain a connection after initializing with windows 8.1. It says it successfully paired and is connected, but then the TV immediately goes to "Ready to Connect".

Ensure that you are using the proper method for using wireless display on your device:

Windows 8.1 - You must use the Add a wireless display option in the Windows Project menu to connect to ScreenBeam:

  1. Slide in the Charms menu from the right of the screen.
  2. Select Devices
  3. Select Project from the Devices menu
  4. Select Add a wireless display

If the Add a wireless display option does not appear in the Project menu:

          - Ensure the latest drivers for the Display adapter and Wireless Network adapter on your system are installed.  You can obtain these drivers from the device manufacturer.
          - Temporarily disable any VPN Client software if installed on the system while using wireless display.

Windows 10 - There are two methods for using wireless display in Windows 10:

     Method 1

  1. Open the Windows 10 Action Center by sliding it in from the right of the screen.  If your device does not have a touch screen, click the Action Center icon (WinXActionCenterIcon) in the Windows system notification area.
  2. Click or tap the Connect button.
  3. Select your ScreenBeam receiver from the list of detected wireless display receivers in the Connect menu.

     Method 2

  1. Use the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + P to open the Project menu.
  2. Click or tap Connect to a wireless display.
  3. Select your ScreenBeam receiver from the list of detected wireless display receivers in the Connect menu.
